The skills and knowledge obtained from the training applies to a wide range of situations where emergencies involving asthma attacks may occur.
The skills and knowledge will assist people working in childcare, education, aged, community care, sport, tourism, hospitality, together with all workplace environments .
1.5 hours classroom training and assessment
This course provides the skills and knowledge to be able to handle asthma emergency situations in the workplace.

Emergency treatment of asthma
Risk minimisation and management strategies for asthma emergencies
There are no prerequisite units for this course, though participants should have numeracy and literacy skills to be able to complete a questionnaire, read and comprehend written information also requesting appropriate emergency assistance at the scene of an emergency asthma attack incident.
Progressive assessment throughout the course, including demonstration of practical skills and written and oral questions relating to underpinning knowledge.
A nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment will be issued to all successful participants
