This skill set provides a set of skills to establish, maintain and facilitate the provision of appropriate first aid in a workplace environment, including the skills to provide an emergency first aid response in the event of an emergency.

Prerequisites
There are no prerequisite units. Participants should have numeracy and literacy skills to be able to comprehend written learning and assessment material complete a written first aid report on a first aid situation.

Assessment Methods
Progressive assessment throughout the course, including demonstration of practical skills (complete CPR on a manikin on the floor) also written and oral questions relating to underpinning knowledge

Award Issued
A nationally-recognised Statement of Attainment (Occupational First Aid) will be issued to all successful  participants

Pathways Information

These units may provide credit towards a range of qualifications at Certificate IV and Diploma levels.
